ENVIRONMENT:

The Lightfoot Foundation supports the Environmental Organizations by providing annual grants to select, qualified organizations in the state of Idaho. In order to be eligible for a grant, an organization must be classified as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service and be engaged in activities that further the protection and preservation of the environment. The Foundations funds for the particular grant period are distributed at the sole discretion of the Foundations Board of Directors. The Foundations funds can only be used for “protection of the environment”, “environmental education”, and “support of non-profit organizations dedicated to one of the other two items”.

To apply for funds, please submit a letter explaining about your organization, the project for which you are requesting funds, the amount of your request, specifically how these requested funds will be used and a copy of your IRS 501 (c)(3) tax determination letter to the Lightfoot Foundation, P.O. Box 7928, Boise, ID 83707. All information must be postmarked by DECEMBER 1st, so that your request can be considered for the following year.
